CWA was founded by Directors Dave Copeland, Jim O’Donnell and Steve Wedge in 2011. In 2014 John Panesar joined the Practice to lead our Civil Engineering Discipline.

With a combined experience in excess of 90 years and a true passion for engineering, the Directors enjoy a “hands on” management style, which is directly reflected in the quality of service which we provide for our Clients.

David Copeland – Director

Starting his career at James Carrington and Partners in 1987 as a Technical Draughtsman, David quickly progressed to become an Engineer. Following his attainment of a BEng Honors degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, he took the position of Senior Structural Engineer with WSP, where he was responsible for the design and detail of major projects throughout the UK.

In 1999 David joined Cox Turner Morse and was soon promoted to the position of Associate Director. In 2003 he became an Owner/Director of the business following the successful Management Team buyout. In the following years Cox Turner Morse enjoyed tremendous success and grew to become one of the leading independent consultants in the greater midlands area.

Following the re-organization of the business in 2011, David co-founded CWA with fellow incumbent Director, Jim O’Donnell, together with Steve Wedge, formerly of Mansell Construction.

David is actively involved in project delivery and prides himself on the quality of service the business provides to our Clients.
