CWA appointed to £53 million apartment project

CWA has been appointed to deliver the civil and structural engineering work for a £53 million build-to-rent apartment project in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

The project will include 7,500 sq ft of ground floor commercial space and a new public square, together with the renovation of a Grade II listed building known as Whitmore Warehouse, and the refurbishment of a 19th century building in Charlotte Street. The site is the former home of the Elkington Electroplating works and Birmingham’s Museum of Science and Industry.

CWA will work on the project with residential developer Spitfire Bespoke Homes and contractor Winvic Construction Ltd.
